These units are fitted inside customer premises (by Companies like BT, Telephone System Installers and Builders on new build homes) and offer a demarcation point between network and customer wiring.

The NTE5a can be surface mounted using the back box provided or flush mounted in any standard single gang back box.

Cable entry points are provided in the top, bottom and sides. Knock-outs in the rear of the back box give additional flexibility in cable/wiring entry and exit.

NTE5A is designed to terminate networks using heavy drop wire which is connected to two heavy duty terminals. Two part unit comprising terminal screw electroplated nickel to BS3382 part 3&4. The clamp plate is nickel undercoat (2.5 microns) overplated with tin (7.5 microns). The NTE5a is fitted inside customer premises and provides a demarcation point between network and consumer wiring.
